My 103 days in London: list and reviews of cafés, pubs, clubs, restaurants, shopping and food markets. Click on each of the names for more information and pictures.

Etter tre måneder med endel kaffekopper, bar-small-talk, klubb-shaking, gatevandring og markedeventyr er dette noen av stedene jeg kommer til å savne. Kafeer, puber, barer, utesteder, restauranter, markeder, parker, shopping.. Trykk på hver av stedene for å lese mer + se bilder.

Oppdateres mer snart (i løpet av jula) med flere innlegg om de forskjellige stedene, pluss ekstra punkter på lista. Har ikke skrevet opp alle stedene ennå!


Kaféer:
  • Timberyard – her kan du studere hele dagen om du vil. Mange gode kaker + salat // In here you can study all day if you like. Lots of yummy cakes, and I love their salad!
  • Leila's shop – nydelig, gammeldags, ekte // Lovely, real, old-fashioned
  • Attendant coffee – omgjort fra et offentlig toalett til herlig kafé // Once upon a time, this used to be a public toilet. Love it.
  • Tap Coffee – good kaffe i melkeglass // Good coffee served in milk glasses, cool place.
  • Pimlico Fresh – Frokost / brunsj til kl 3. Billig og variert, toast med alt mulig, og havregrøt og annet. // breakfast / brunch until 3pm. Cheap, lots of everything, toasts, scrambled eggs, porridge. Healthy, yummy.
  • Fabrique – med danske kanelboller // With danish cinnamon rolls
  • Forge and co – stor kafé, avslappet jobbe-/studie-/spisestemning // big, relaxed café with work-/study-/eating-/ relaxing atmosphere.
  • Carluccio's – med alle typer egg du kan ønske deg // However you like your eggs, you'll be happy here!
  • Le Pain Quotidien: – ligger overalt, har alt, til alle måltider // Everywhere, with everything organic
  • Fix Coffee – Passe crowded, annerledes kafé ved Old street // Not too crowded, lots of comfy sofas and big chairs.
  • Caffé Latte – fint alternativ om Breakfast club i Soho er fullt (som det alltid er) // Nice alternative to the always-overly-crowded-breakfast club in Soho.

Shoreditch (øst i London):
  • The old blue last – rocka bar med open-mic-kvelder i overetasjen // rock and other stuff. Perfect interior, open-mic nights
  • The Blues kitchen – mat, blues, rock, danse- og spisestemning i ett // food, blues, rock, eating and dancing and chilling - all in one big room
  • Electricity Showrooms – fin cocktailbar i kjelleren, avslappa, stor bar oppe. Alltid plass // salnice cocktail bar downstairs (with the most fancy floor ever, and a big, chill bar upstairs with lovely ceiling. Always room, normally not too crowded
  • The Macbeth – intim shoreditchpub // intimate shoreditch-pub, concerts
  • Cargo – manges favorittsted: fin uteplass, stor bar og dansegulv // salMany people's favorite spot in Shoreditch. Nice back yard, big bar and room to dance
  • Dream Bags Jaguar Shoes – lite, hyggelig sted med mat og drikke + dans // small place, two floors, good pizzas and drink. Candle-lighting downstairs + dj
  • Owl and Pussycat – pub, alltid fullstappet med (mest) unge mennesker // pub, crowded (when I've been there), mostly younger people, 20-30-somethings

Andre områder:
  • Hootananny's – i Brixton, kåret til beste live-/musikk-pub-venue i UK i 2010 og 2011 // In Brixton, awarded as best live music venue / pub in the UK in 2010 and 2011
  • Koko – i Camden, ser ut som et stort musikal-/teaterlokale // in Camden, old theater-building, turned into a club. Big stage
  • The Penthouse – på Leicester Square, utsikt til Big Ben, osv. Tre etasjer med forskjellige typer musikk // Leicester Square, with a view of Big Ben and other famous sights. Three floors of different music


Restauranter:
  • Côte – herlig fin stemning og nydelig gourmet i Soho. // lovely, perfect atmosphere and food in Soho
  • Comptoir Libanais – fantastisk digg libanesisk mat. Finnes flere steder // delicious libanesian food, everywhere around London
  • Loco Mexicano – ved Victoria station, morsom, fargerik, budsjettvennlig. // Close to Victoria Station - funny, colorful, good for your student budget
  • Uno – italiensk ved Victoria Station // Italian
  • Portobello Ristorante and Pizzeria – meterlang pizza i Notting Hill // really good pizza, all pizzas baked as one long instead of separate round ones
  • Made in Italy – italiensk i Chelsea // Italian in Chelsea. Cute restaurant.
  • Suki – fantaaastisk japansk i Chinatown // Amazing japanese food. Don't trust ME, but trust my two friends from China and South-Korea - they should know
  • Wahaca  – mexikanske småretter // Mexican small plates – you order a little bit of everything you want
  • The Italian restaurant – turistaktig, men god stemning ved Leicester Square // Placed close to the heart of tourism in London - Leicester Square, it's not that unique, but it's still good pasta.
  • Black and Blue – Litt av det meste du ønsker deg // a little of everything
  • Masala Zone –  Indisk i Soho // Indian food in Soho
